Why a Lantern Art Expo?

This year's theme for the Apex World Culture & Art Expo (AWCAE) is the "Chang'an Lantern Festival," chosen to celebrate the 45th anniversary of US-China relations. A lantern art expo is the perfect medium to illuminate the rich cultural heritage of China while creating a unique cultural fusion with American traditions.

Lantern festivals have a long and vibrant history in Chinese culture, symbolizing joy, hope, and unity. By bringing the Chang'an Lantern Festival to the US, we aim to share this rich tradition with a wider audience, fostering cultural appreciation and understanding.

Incorporating elements of the American celebration of Halloween adds a delightful twist to our expo. The creative fusion of Chinese lantern art with Halloween's playful and imaginative spirit creates a unique experience that honors both cultures. Visitors will enjoy a spectacular display of artistic lanterns, each telling a story of tradition, innovation, and cultural harmony.

This event is presented by the Carissa & Harry Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting cultural exchange and understanding. It is executed by AWCAE, ensuring a seamless blend of cultural heritage and contemporary celebration.
